Ambient intelligence and embedded systems, which are related to concepts of ubiquitous computing, intelligent systems, sensor networks and radio frequency communications, have gained a lot of attention in the last few years. These disciplines have enabled people to get acquainted with systems that are capable of perceiving, learning, reasoning, and reacting intelligently according to their environment.
Given the pertinence of these research areas, ENSIAS is organizing, in collaboration with ICST Alliance, the first edition of the workshop on Ambient intelligence and Embedded Systems, AmIES'10, on November 2 - 4, 2010. This workshop is an opportunity for researchers and engineers to present and discuss recent advances and trends in Ambient Intelligence and Embedded Systems.
Following a number of proposals, a seminar will be devoted to Near Field Communication (NFC) and its applications on April 13th, 2010. This seminar deals with standardization aspects, protocols as well as the integration of NFC applications in Information Systems. It details items often forgotten or overlooked so as to understand and guarantee the interoperabilities which are specific to an NFC system.
This seminar, designed for researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers and designers of electronic equipment, will be led by Dominique Paret, a distinguished RFID and NFC expert. To subscribe to the seminar, download this form.
