Conference context
The design and implementation of modern information and communication systems make use of several heterogeneous disciplines whose architecture, engineering, safety and communication devices are inter-related by software engineering methods. Each of these disciplines use appropriate mechanisms, methods and models.

Different approaches, theories, and standards governed by models have been developed to preserve the modeling methods specific to each component of such systems throughout the hierarchic cycle of their life. Thus, by successive refinements and with no rupture between the phases, models alternate with each other to ensure the arrangement, coherence, and traceability of such systems.

Conference objectives
MICS’10 targets to study and to analyze methods, tools and new engineering tendencies integrating or governed by models of information and communication systems. Within the convergence of communication architectures and computing, this event will, on the one hand, shed light on the challenges encountered in new generation information and communication systems, based on real-time, management and optimization of resources, mobility of nodes and services as well as safety and good governance. On the other hand, the Conference will tackle the computer engineering solutions put forward to deal with these problems, their goals, models, differences, interactions together with their future tendencies.

MICS’10 is an international forum dedicated to high level discussion and knowledge exchange on Information and communication systems’ issues of common interest. It aspires to engender a real dialog between international and national scientific communities, technology developers, operators, service providers and standardization organizations. The present conference will host interdisciplinary sessions and satellite workshops targeting the modeling of concepts related to information and communication systems.

MICS’10 is an opportunity for participants to widen their professional contacts and to discuss the scientific and technical interactions and the interlacing on specific topics of interest.
